Frequently Asked Question

Please download the latest firmware release for Iron camera and unzip it. Than follow this instruction:

Before the firmware update

Please verify that you are not using the Frame Grabber during the firmware update, check the Vision Point Application is closed and not running.

Windows

1. Open 'fw_update.bat' with any text editor, and change the path of the '.bin' file to the actual firmware file that you would like to program.
2. Run the 'fw_update.bat' file and verify that the update process gets to 100% (may show 99%) and finishes successfully.
3. Execute power cycle to the camera and wait until the new firmware gets ready (might take up to a minute).

Linux

1. Download and unpack 'GenICam_fw_update_v2_2.zip'
2. Edit 'GenICam_fw_update.sh' with a text editor and change 'camera_firmware_update_file' to the path of the '.bin' firmware update file.
3. Run the 'GenICam_fw_update.sh' file and verify that the update process gets to 100% and terminates successfully.
4. Perform power cycle to the camera and wait until the new firmware gets ready (might take up to a minute).
