1. Komodo CXP Fiber Frame Grabber
2. CXP to Fiber extender - Device unit
3. Fiber cable and SFP units - should be the same type (multimode or single-mode)

If the device name is either CLHS-X or GigE, a firmware update is required. You can find the latest firmware for the Komodo CXP Fiber Frame Grabber here. You can find the instructions on how to update the firmware here.

2. Check the connection of the master link 0.
The master link (Channel 0) of the Frame Grabber must be connected to the master link (Channel 0) of the extender using a fiber cable.
Connect a camera to channel 0 of the extender using a coaxial cable also.

3. Check that the extender you are using is a Device unit.
Instructions on how to check if the extender is a device unit can be found in https://support.kayainstruments.com/kb/faq.php?id=23

4. Check that extender connected to the power supply

5. Check that the camera is powered on.
In case the camera is used with external power - check that the camera is connected to the external power supply**
**Note that cameras with an external power source not built by CXP standards may cause damage to the extender

6. Check the SFP+ modules and fiber cables.
The SFP+ modules and fiber cables should be of the same types: multimode or single-mode.
Check that the SFP+ modules are mounted all the way inside (a good indication is that modules can't be detached without using the handle)
Check that the fiber cables are firmly connected (a good indication is a "click" sound when inserted into the SFP+ module)

7. Camera is not detected or partially detected. It may be due to one of the issues mentioned above or incompatible connection speed (i.e connection of 12.5G/10G camera to CoaXPress to Fiber 1st generation extender).

8. Try to perform manual camera detection on the camera discovery speed.
a. In Vision Point go to Frame Grabber tab -> Extended Stream Features -> Camera selector -> Manual camera detection
b. Set Manual camera Mode to on
c. Set Manual Camera connection config to the correct link number and your camera discovery speed
